Meet our Founder, Leezette Lopatic
Leezette Lopatic grew up with a passion for the medical field, innovation, and philanthropy. Her inspiration came from her creative and competitive musician mother, recognized for inventing the original *Choco Taco and winning over 500 contests, cook-offs, and three cars. From a young age, Leezette demonstrated an innate curiosity for new inventions, understanding how things worked and identifying avenues for improvement.
As a medical consultant, Leezette utilizes her extensive medical start-up and product launch experience to propel the transformative growth of medical practices and start-ups. With a keen eye for opportunities, she is actively seeking her next venture in the realm of biopharmaceutical medical start-ups.
How Fashion FLEXY® by Haute Things, Inc. Evolved:
Leezette started designing hair accessories with her nieces, as a hobby. It blossomed into Fashion FLEXY®, a brand of Haute Things, Inc -- matching-themed hair accessories and jewelry. Soon after her launch, she advanced to the third round of Shark Tank tv show auditions. She invented a patent-pending charm slider (87 designs to match one's mood, personality and outfit) that slide onto hair elastics (hair ties-bracelets) and other materials. Shark Tank evaluators liked both the multiFUNctional concept for both humans and pets. Her Breast Cancer Awareness line was one of the their faves. Haute Things, Inc supports charitable causes, most notably an Angelina Jolie Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, where Leezette donated 500 hair ties. Most of her charm slider designs are replicated onto matching-themed earrings, necklaces and baubled bobbies. Some celebrities from Housewives of OC, Dancing with the Stars, Modern Family, Pussy Cat Dolls, Scandal, two basketball players from Dallas Mavericks, etc are fans and have "Gotten their FLEXY® on!"... Her unique designs have earned her recognition and praise from the fashion industry. Her USA-made commitment to using sustainable and eco-friendly materials has made her a role model for responsible fashion. Here's Fashion FLEXY® Lookbook @Sonyaliettaphotography
Advisory Roles, Philanthropy, Cancer Patient Advocacy:
Beyond her work in the business world, Leezette is also a passionate advocate for social causes.
•. As a Co-Chairwoman of FOCASA (Friends of CASA), she works tirelessly to support neglected, abandoned, and abused foster youth in Orange County, CA. Her efforts, along with CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) and other volunteers, have helped to improve the lives of countless young people, and to raise awareness about the challenges facing foster youth.
• She spearheaded OC, CA Multiple Myeloma Patient Support Group, partnering with UCI Chao Cancer Center Irvine and International Myeloma Foundation (IMF). Myeloma patients and their loved ones can now convene to discuss their experiences with the cancer and treatment.
• She also volunteers to help the Homeless.
• In addition to her philanthropy, Leezette is also a Board member for the Bichon Frise Club of San Diego (BFCSD), reflecting her love of animals, and her commitment to their welfare. She has contributed her time, resources, and expertise to the organization, helping it to achieve its goals and promote the well-being of the beautiful beloved Bichon Frise dog breed.
Leezette Aspires to Return to a Medical Start-Up:
Finally, Leezette Lopatic's aspiration is to find the ideal company to acquire her charm slider invention and business, propelling it to new heights. She eagerly anticipates rejoining the medical field to become part of another promising biopharmaceutical start-up, where she can contribute her expertise and drive for innovation.
* Her mother won grand prize for her crunchy Choco Taco invention & willingly forfeited her recipe rights to contest sponsor in lieu of prize winnings. Her mother then created three winning variations of her Choco Taco for Nestle Chocolate, Hershey Chocolate and Chex Cereal. Her mother and Chaco Taco were featured on the nationally-televised The Home Show Show in the mid 80's.
